Responsibilities:

This person will provide patient care support and assist providers as instructed by the physicians, providers or RN. They will administer therapies including, calling in provider authorized prescriptions, scheduling follow up visits, follow up regarding test results, and other support unique to a specialty provider. They will also receive patient phone calls and follow the practice and protocol while gathering pertinent data regarding the reason for the call. This person is also responsible to room patients, manage patient flow and obtain adequate patient medical information.

The LPN will be orientated to all clinical areas (Family Practice and specialty areas) and will be a casual float for the clinic, covering for ill calls, vacation, and other staffing needs - rooming patients and assisting with procedures, etc. as stated above.


Qualifications:


Education/Experience :
Completion of accredited nursing program. Current MN LPN license. Prefer one year of clinic or specialty care experience (where applicable) including PC experience within a computerized work environment with the ability to keyboard and navigate within an automated medical work environment.


Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule


- Casual position (as needed)
- Day, Evening shifts: Primarily will work days 8:00am - 5:00pm, with some rotations (1:00pm - 8:00pm)
- Saturday coverage as needed (9:00am - 12:00pm)

Located only twenty-five minutes south of the Twin Cities Metro Area, off I-35, the city of Faribault is built along the banks of the Straight and Cannon Rivers. Faribault enjoys the advantages and conveniences of being near a major metropolitan center while providing the livability of a small town. The community is home to several businesses including "Tilt-A-Whirl", Faribault Woolen Mills, Turkey Store Products, and Faribault Foods Butter Kernel vegetables. Responsibilities:

- This person will provide patient care support and assist providers as instructed by the physician, provider or RN.
- They will administer therapies including medications, calling in provider authorized prescriptions, scheduling follow up visits, follow up regarding test results, or other support unique to a specialty provider.
- They will also receive patient phone calls and follow the practice or protocol while gathering pertinent data regarding the reason for the call.
- This person is also responsible to room patients, manage patient flow and obtain adequate patient medical information.


Qualifications:


- Completion of a program that is AAMA certified and meets the AMC's requirements for educational programs OR completion of a relevant accredited nursing program.
- Current licensure (if LPN or RN) or certification / registration (CMA or RMA) required.
- BLS certification.
- Prefer one year specialty care experience including PC experience within a computerized work environment with ability to keyboard and navigate within an automated medical work environment.
- Excellent typing skills / ability to multitask.
