Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for leadership of the Neuroscience Clinical Service Line and is responsible to ensure the Clinical Programs within the clinical service line provide coordinated, efficient, high quality patient care to patients in all setting across the continuum. The President understands and practices clinical medicine, is able to articulate the vision of the clinical service line, and is able to motivate and lead others in shared improvement efforts. The President is responsible for the direction and oversight of all medical operations and has oversight responsibility for the business operations of the clinical service line. Leads the clinical service line senior leadership team to implement the vision, mission, and strategic clinical priorities of the clinical service line. Promotes and supports organizational initiatives designed to improve quality of care and increase efficiency and effectiveness of operations. Works in conjunction with organization leadership to develop and implement business plans to achieve organizational and regional goals. Directs the development of appropriate outreach programs to enhance the delivery of care in the area. The position is responsible for working with outreach physicians to establish and maintain the program.


Qualifications:


Education/Experience :
Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine and completion of a residency program is required. Course work in business management techniques is preferred. Current and valid state medical license. Board certification. 5 years of physician practice in neuroscience. Experience in development and administration of functions such as credentialing and privileging, monitoring, and improvement of clinical quality and clinical protocols.

Allina Commons is the Minneapolis-based headquarters of Allina Hospitals & Clinics, a not-for-profit health care organization serving patients and communities. Approximately 1,600 corporate and administrative service employees work at offices within Midtown Exchange, site of the historic Sears retail complex at Chicago Avenue and E. Lake Street. Responsibilities:

- Work with laboratory information systems technology and customers.
- Develop multi year strategic technology roadmaps to optimize investment of current system(s) and implementation of new functionality to support business strategy.
- Research, develop, plan and implement systems? conversions, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Coordinate seamless integration with other systems.
- Ensure client satisfaction.
- Play strategic role in aligning business processes andinformation technology.
- Manage customer relationships by negotiating service solving problems and resolving conflict.
- Write RFPs, select vendors, negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships.
- Oversee or manage projects utilizing Allina?s project management methodology.
- Develop and/or oversee detailed project documents including budget, timelines, resource numbers, integration risk management, vendor management and issues.
- Develop and/or oversee project charters.
- Organize/plan and schedule assigned projects/tasks.
- Develop and implement governance for project prioritization, resource requirements, determine other staffing needs.
- Follow issue management process with sponsor/steering group.
- Develop and/or oversee any associated RFPs and/or contracts.
- Determine key functional roles on project team.


Qualifications:


- Bachelor?s degree in computer science, information technology, business related field or equivalent work experience.
- 2 to 4 years of management and/or supervisory experience.
- Previous experience preferred in healthcare and previous IT experience in laboratory information systems technology.
- 5 to 7 years of progressively increasing IT experience.
- Develop and manage operating budgets.
- Lead and manage teams of staff up to 20 people.
- Appropriately plan capital needs based on life cycle roadmaps and plans which address business strategy.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsincluding the ability to proactively manage and resolve conflict.
- Ability to obtain, analyze and synthesize information as well as multitask under pressure.
- Excellent problem solver and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated experience working with business customers.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate with staff, peers, vendors and customers

- 40 hours per week.
- Day shifts; Monday - Friday.

Education:

Responsibilities:

- The PCS functions as a supervisor in the clinical setting, acting as a resource, educational support, communication liaison, and role model of professional practice.
- The PCS assumes responsibility for day to day operations and clinical coordination of the unit.
- Additionally, the PCS participates in planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating patient care activities, staff education, and managment activities as delegated by the Nurse Manager.


Qualifications:


- Baccalaureate degree in nursing required.
- MSN preferred, (or enrolled / anticipated enrollment in MSN program).
- Current MN RN license.
- ACLS preferred.
- Certification in clinical specialty preferred (PCCN).
- 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1-2 years of supervisory / preceptor experience.
- Clinical expertise in related area.
- Telemetry experience required.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Excellian, Microsoft word, Powerpoint, Outlook and Publisher.
- Ability to problem solve, plan and organize.
- Demonstrates leadership abilities, including collaboration, conflict resolution, consensus building, team building, personnel management, coaching and mentoring.
