Responsibilities:

- Work with end users to configure, design, and build the application or master file to meet business requirements.
- Serve as a liaison with IS and outside vendors to maintain, enhance and upgrade current technology tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technology issues with IS and external vendors, as appropriate.
- Identify opportunities to apply technology that will improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the department.
- Work with Epic and other vendors as necessary on Procedure Master file and Charge Router Capabilities.
- Consult with technical, functional and vendor resources for maintaining the appropriate master file environment.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation of changes and processes.
- Participate in, manage, and monitor system setup, performance, and capacity planning.
- Maintain and build system module connections that prevent Change Master entry errors.
- Update clinical and practice management systems in a timely manner and with accuracy (Add, Delete, Modify, Inactivate, Reactivate).
- Complete maintenance special projects.
- Conduct testing of changes prior to implementation.


Qualifications:


Education/Experience :


- BS/BA strongly preferred in computer science or related business area.
- Epic Certification or proficiencies preferred.
- Minimum 3 years experience with healthcare revenue and patient care information systems (Examples: MediPac, STAR, Epic, Vital works).
- Minimum 3 years experience with technology tools for data collection and analysis (Examples: Data Warehouse, Crystal Enterprise).
- Experience with the business area to be supported.

Responsibilities:

The position Manager of Finance, Payer Relations and Contracting is responsible for providing overall financial management to Allina Hospitals & Clinics for managed care revenue. This accountability includes supporting the following business units: Allina Medical Clinic, Allina Hospital Based Physicians, Metro and Regional Hospitals, and all Specialty Care providers including the Orthopedic Institute Surgery Center. The primary focus of this position will be to support Allina?s physician strategy and manage pay for performance and total cost of care initiatives with third party payers. Accountabilities include providing financial leadership on managed care revenue within the department, within the system office and the operating units. This includes, but is not limited to, prospective modeling of all payer agreements; concurrent financial analysis of all expected payments; monthly development and maintenance of managed care reserves and accruals; analysis of large datasets for capitated and risk sharing payer agreements including providing recommendations. This role requires a great deal of interaction and collaboration with financial personnel at the system office as well as within the operating units. In addition, the position requires providing the necessary financial leadership in a collaborative manner to the director and managers accountable for contract negotiations as well as high-level physician personnel.


Qualifications:
